This season the Raiders have embraced their underdog role. Four of their five wins this season have come as an underdog. But, they have never been as big of underdogs as they are this week. Here is this week's line:
As you can see, the Broncos are favored by more than a touchdown, and in one instance is favored by as much as 8.5 points. Prior to this game, the worst line the Raiders had was week two when they were 7-point underdogs to the Ravens. They won that game, but that was before we all figured out just how bad the Ravens were going to be this season.
The second worst line the Raiders had was the last time they played the Broncos. The Raiders were 5-point dogs in that one and lost 16-10, just covering the spread. The Broncos widened point margin has a lot to do with the Raiders play falling off of late, losing four of their last five games. Meanwhile the Broncos sit at 10-2. Oh, and the game is in Denver, which doesn't help either.
