Bright early on day two of free agency, the Raiders are coming to terms with free agents. Dan Williams and Curtis Lofton visited the team Tuesday and this morning they have agreed to deals with the team according to multiple reports.
Williams is a free agent from the Arizona Cardinals. The former first round pick has spent the past five seasons as the starting nose tackle in Arizona. The Raiders were actively seeking a defensive tackle in free agency and finally get one.
Lofton became a salary cap casualty from the Saints. Once it was certain Nick Roach was not going to return from the concussion he suffered in preseason last year, the team was in need of a middle linebacker. Lofton was a standout middle linebacker for the Falcons for his first four NFL seasons. He has spent the past three seasons with the Saints. His most impressive stat is he has never missed a game in his 7-year career, starting every game. He comes to the Raiders on a 3-year deal according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.
