Rounding out the Raiders first day free agent signings is the addition of Roy Helu, a move the team made official today. Helu comes over from Washington where he spent the first four seasons of his career. The Redskins made him their fourth round pick in the 2011 draft out of Nebraska.
The 6-0, 216-pound back has 255 carries for 1132 yards (4.4 yards per carry) and 7 touchdowns in his 4-year career. Last season he set career-highs in yards per carry (5.4), yards per catch (11.4) and receiving yards (477).
