After days of rumor and speculation, the Raiders finally signed cornerback James Dockery, according to an official press release from the team. A larger corner at 6'1" and 185 pounds, Dockery has had stints with the Browns (who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2011) and the Panthers, with whom Dockery has spent the remainder of his career.
Dockery has never been a starter but has contributed on special teams and as a backup cornerback. He has been a part of one of the league's better defenses over the last few years with the Panthers and will likely be quality depth for a Raider secondary which always seems to have its share of injury issues.
Contract terms have not yet been disclosed.
