The inaugural veteran combine is happening today. Among some 75 scouts and GM's in attendance is Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie.

The veteran combine features NFL veterans who are attempting to show off their talents for team scouts just as the NFL draft scouting combine does each year.

It's quite possible McKenzie sees someone he likes at the Veteran Combine. The Raiders are still in need of filling quite a few positions on the team.

These players are just looking for another shot at making an NFL roster and they want to prove they belong in the league. Expecting to find starters among the group working out today may be asking a bit much. Positions at which the Raiders could use some depth include offensive guard, defensive end, linebacker.

The most notable players in the veteran combine include Adam Carricker, Mike Golic Jr, Felix Jones, Mike Kafka, Mikel Leshoure, Michael Sam, and Darron Thomas.

A few former Raiders are there as well. Most notably, former Raiders draft picks Michael Bush and Tyler Wilson. Others include Torell Troupe, Akwasi Owusu Ansah, and Raiders former undrafted free agent signing, Thomas Mayo -- all of whom once spent training camp with the Raiders.
