Last Wednesday C.J. Wilson tweeted that he had re-signed with the Raiderscomplete with pictures of him signing his paperwork. The Raiders Monday -- five days later -- have made the signing official. And it just so happens to be Wilson's Birthday today. He turns 28 today. So, it is 'officially' a happy birthday for the five-year NFL defensive lineman.

Wilson had originally signed with the Raiders on a one-year deal last offseason, coming over from the Packers where he spent the first four years of his career.

What was originally an under the radar signing, turned out to be one of the better signings the team made last offseason.

The versatile defensive lineman appeared in all 16 games last season for the Raiders, starting 7 games. He was mostly a defensive end for the team, but would on occasion slip inside and play some defensive tackle. He was especially valuable in place of LaMarr Woodley he was lost to injury in week 6 and placed on injured reserve.

His return helps strengthen a very thin group of defensive ends which includes returning starter Justin Tuck along with Benson Mayowa.
