Along with Shane Wynn and Mike Coccia, the Raiders are also hosting South Dakota offensive lineman Matt Hunter Thursday according to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.com.
The 6-6, 305-pound Huffer is an offensive tackle who could possibly slide to offensive guard at the next level. He has started every game at left tackle for South Dakota the past three seasons.
After making the Missouri Valley All-Conference Honorable Mention his first season as a fulltime starter in 2012, he failed to make All Conference in his Junior and Senior seasons. As a junior he was part of a unit that allowed 20 sacks, though Huffer himself was named MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance against Montana on November 9. The Coyotes averaged 144 yards rushing and 195 yards passing that season.
He is one of two offensive linemen the are Raiders hosting Thursday. New Hampshire center Mike Coccia. The team has an opening at right guard. They are also looking for some young depth at most offensive line positions including left tackle and center.
