And with the 4th overall pick in the 2015 draft the Oakland Raiders have selected Amari Cooper, wide receiver, Alabama.

In Cooper the Raiders find their number one receiver. He instantly upgrades the entire receiving corps and gives Derek Carr the weapon he needs heading into his second season.

Amari Cooper is the best and most accomplished wide receiver in this draft class and is an ideal choice at this position. He is polished and technically sound and ready to step on the field and contribute right away.

This 6-1, 190-pounder led the nation with 124 catches last season for 1717 yards. His 16 receiving touchdowns was third in the nation among receivers and his 123.6 yards per game was fourth most.

Though he was officially timed at 4.41 in the 40-yard dash at the combine, video evidence shows he ran it at 4.35.

The Raiders have picked a receiver in the first round only twice in the past 30 years (Darrius Heyward-Bey in 09, Tim Brown in 88). They haven't had an original drafted receiver surpass 1000 yards (Tim Brown) in 14 years, and haven't had a single 1000-yard receiver in a decade (Randy Moss).

He now figures to lead a receiving corps along with Rod Streater, James Jones, Michael Crabtree, Andre Holmes, Brice Butler, and Kenbrell Thompkins.
