The Raiders continue to make moves among undrafted free agents. Today the team added former Arizona wide receiver Austin Hill.
The 6-2, 214-pound receiver has some famous bloodlines. He is the son of former NFL tight end David Hill and nephew of Los Angeles sportscasting legend Jim Hill.
Following his breakout sophomore 2012 season at Arizona, Hill looked like a future NFL star. That season he led the team with 81 catches for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning Second Team All-Pac 12 honors. That season had him on the Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist.
Then he suffered a torn ACL in 2013 Spring practice which had him miss his entire junior season. He returned last season but didn't look the same as he had prior to the injury, finishing second on the team with 49 receptions for 635 yards and 4 touchdowns, earning All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention honors.
Players often fully recover from ACL injuries. It is absolutely worth it to see if he can recover and return to the form he showed as a sophomore.
In a corresponding move, the team waived wide receiver Milton Williams III.
