Raiders rookie LB Ben Heeney gets engaged

Just two days before Raiders rookie linebacker Ben Heeney is to report to Raiders training camp, he announced he has gotten engaged to girlfriend Taylor Alderson. He announced it on Twitter with a picture of his new fiance's hand with her engagement ring on it.

His brother also tweeted a picture of the three of them together exclaming "I HAVE A SISTER!"

Then Taylor herself made the announcement that she is going to be a Heeney.

Congratulations, Ben. Quite a past few months. He graduates from Kansas University, gets drafted in the fifth round by the Raiders, and gets engaged just in time to get down to the business of preparing for his first game as an NFL player. Nicely done, sir.
