Rams vs Raiders preseason game time, TV schedule, online streaming, announcers, and more

Football's back! Yeah, yeah, it's just preseason, but it's still the first time we get to see the Raiders play in an actual game against an opponent in over 7 months. They open the preseason at home this year against the Los Angeles Stan Kroenke Inglewood St Louis Rams.

It is rather interesting these two teams open this preseason against each other as they are two of the three teams who have been pitching the NFL to be chosen to potentially relocate to Los Angeles (the Chargers are the other). These two teams once shared Los Angeles from 1982-1994 when the Raiders originally left Oakland. But by the mid-nineties, the the Raiders gave up on hopes of a new stadium in LA-LA Land and returned to Oakland, settling for a renovated Oakland Coliseum while the Rams left for St Louis.

The Raiders faced the Rams in unlucky week 13 of last season and suffered worst loss in Raiders history -- a 52-0 dismantling in St Louis. It came the week after the Raiders got their first win of the season over the Chiefs after the Raiders had begun the season 0-10.

It can be difficult to hype a preseason game as any sort of pay-back, being that the starters for each team will play no more than a couple series. But I would expect this current Raiders team to put up a much bigger fight than the one from last season.

The Rams have a new quarterback in Nick Foles, whom they swapped their former oft-injured number one overall pick quarterback Sam Bradford to the Eagles to acquire. But that vicious pass rush, featuring son-of-Howie Chris Long is still intact.
