Today the Raiders returned to practice at their Alameda facility for the first time since training camp broke. And when they arrived, they were greeted with a brand spanking new, state of the art performance center. They released serveral pictures of the new facility today.
The last time they practiced here was in June for mminicamp. At that time the area where the performance center now stands was just a foundation and the field they practiced on today was still all dirt, as was the field next to it which was previously artificial turf.
At the final training camp practice, Jack Del Rio said the new facility renovations were "very close" and said that by the time they returned from last weekend's road trip to Minnesota it would be ready.
"I'm looking forward to seeing it all firsthand," said Del Rio. "I know the guys are going to love it."
Here is a nice little before/during picture (which I took during minicamp) and after picture.
