In the second quarter of the Raiders season opener, safety Nate Allen left with a knee injury and was quickly ruled OUT of the game, not to return. It appears at this point to be at least somewhat serious. We should know more in the coming days.

Allen was replaced in the game by Larry Asante who is now playing alongside Charles Woodson. With Brandian Ross going on injured reserve last week, the only other safety on the team is recently acquired undrafted rookie Keenan Lambert.

Also leaving the game with injuries for the Raiders were Justin Ellis who is questionable to return and Derek Carr who headed to the locker room and his injury and status is unknown. He was replaced by Matt McGloin who has worked two series so far.
