Rose Bowl 2016 Stanford vs Iowa: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming, odds, more

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It's the Grand daddy of them all. The Rose Bowl which pits the Pac-12 Champion Stanford Cardinal against the Iowa Hawkeyes of the Big-10. Iowa finished the season just missing the College Football playoffs as the fifth ranked team in the country. And the way MIchigan State laid an egg against Alabama, some believe they were the more deserving team.

Much like how Stanford played USC in the Pac-12 title game despite the fact that Oregon beat both teams during the season (but I digress).

Stanford will try to represent the Pac-12 as Oregon did last year when they put up a Rose Bowl record 59-20 beating on Florida State in the very first College Football semifinal game.

No doubt Stanford has proven capable of putting up big numbers. Not only do they have a splitting maul in Christian McCaffrey (who should have won the Heisman IMO), they put up over 40 points six times this season, including in their conference title game win over the Trojans. They also only once scored fewer than 30 points -- their season opening loss to Northwestern in which they scored just 6 points.

It will be the battle of attrition, however, as Iowa has allowed over 24 points just once this season.
