Having moved through the New Years Eve (debacle) semifinals, there are just two teams remaining in the college football season — and they face off tonight in the championship game.
The Alabama Crimson Tide reach this game having beaten (embarrassing?) Michigan State 38-0, while the Clemson Tigers only beat the Oklahoma Sooners 37-17. Clemson enters the game as the No. 1 team in the nation by virtue of their undefeated record, while the Crimson Tide enter with just one blemish on their resume — a 43-37 loss to Ole Miss in their third game of the season.
Some first-round NFL Draft prospects in this game include:
Clemson
- Mackensie Alexander, DB
- Shaq Lawson, DE
Alabama
- Reggie Ragland, LB
- A'Shawn Robinson, DT
- Derrick Henry, RB
