Packers at Cardinals NFL Playoffs, NFC Divisional Round open thread

New, comments
Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

To finish up Saturday Night's NFL football schedule the Arizona Cardinals are hosting the Green Bay Packers. This game is one of two NFC Divisional Round games to see who will get to the Conference Championship next week, the other game happening tomorrow between the Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers.

The Arizona Cardinals had a great season to snag the number 2 seed in the NFC this year, so this is their first game for the playoffs this year. Their leader is QB Carson Palmer who at age 36 is still trying to get his first playoff win of his career despite being a solid starter for many years. He had an MVP caliber season this year and will be eager to have that performance follow into the postseason so that he can finally get his long sought playoff victory.

Green Bay on the other hand had one of their best performances of the season last week in the Wildcard spot against Washington. They handily defeated the NFC East's winner 35-18 to earn their way to Arizona. The Packers are now looking for revenge on the Cardinals who humiliated them 38-8 in Week 16. Considering the final score of that last game it is no surprise that Arizona is favored in this game by 7.
