NFC Championship Game: Cardinals vs. Panthers Game Time Open Thread

New, comments

A battle between the two best teams in the NFC will determine who will destroy the hapless AFC team in Super Bowl L.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Today's NFC Championship Game features probable NFL MVP Cam Newton vs. PFF MVP Carson Palmer as Palmer continues his quest to win two playoff games in his storied career. We will see two fantastic defenses including Carolina cornerback Josh Norman and Arizona corner Patrick Peterson.

Arizona comes into this game having won the greatest NFL game ever played in their divisional round overtime win against Green Bay, while Carolina escaped with a victory in Seattle after having nearly Alamo Bowl-ed a thirty point lead in the second half. The weather in Charlotte has been blizzard conditions this week, so whichever team can best adapt to conditions may have the advantage.

FUN FACT: The Cardinals have been around since 1920, and their most common playoff opponent is the Panthers, who have been around since 1995.
