Monday Night Football Game Time Open Thread: Bears vs. Vikings

Why are the Bears on my television again?

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Halloween, Raider fans! It's a great day to be a Raider, after our beloved team improved to 6-2 on the season and 5-0 on the road yesterday. But tonight's game will complete Week 8, and it's an NFC North contest between the Minnesota Vikings, who are coming off a shellacking at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Bears, who are coming off a disappointing second half effort against the Packers two Thursdays ago.

What genius at NFL HQ decided, not only to put the Bears on my TV for two prime-time games in a row, but to give them nearly two weeks off right before a bye week? Maybe they knew Jay Cutler would be out with his annual minor injury and would need time to heal before the Monday Night game. A few weeks ago, Cutler bruised his ego and suffered from sprained feelings and makes his return tonight against Minnesota.
