This is getting to be a habit. Something Raiders fans had forgotten what it felt like to have their team’s players winning awards on a weekly basis. Khalil Mack already was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the team’s big 30-20 win over the Broncos Sunday Night. Now Latavius Murray has been voted as the FedEx Ground Player of the week.
Murray’s 114 yards and 3 touchdowns on 20 carries (5.7 yards per carry) had him nominated for the award and the fans voted him as the winner.
It was Derek Carr last week who took home the FedEx Air Player of the Week along with Clutch Player of the Week and AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Because of his win, $2,000 will be given to The USO in Murray’s name.
