This season the Raiders have made a real habit out of winning when they are underdogs. To the point where the fans cringe when they see the Raiders are favorites. If you are one of those types, you aren't going to like this week's line as the Raiders head to Mexico City to face the Texans on Monday night. Here are the game's odds courtesy of OddsShark:
At a 5.5 margin of victory, that's the largest of the season for the Raiders. The previous high was 5 points to the visiting Falcons in week two -- one of the Raiders two losses this season.
If it makes you feel any better, they were also favored by four of the Chargers in week 5 and they won that game.
What it comes down to is this: the Raiders can't be underdogs forever. To eventually reach their goals of being a playoff team, they will be playing a lot more games in which they are favored. And they will have to win those games. Being underestimated will have to become a thing of the past.
