Greetings, Raider fans! Tonight on Thursday Night Football on NFL Network and NBC, the Panthers will take on the Saints in an important NFC South battle to determine which of these teams will narrowly miss the playoffs and which will not so narrowly miss the playoffs.
Both of these teams are coming off ridiculous last-minute losses to AFC West teams, and the more I think about that the more likely I am to drink heavily. The Panthers are a shell of the team they were last season. Their defense, without star corner Josh Norman, is now mediocre and their offense isn't nearly as explosive as it was in 2015. Cam Newton has been taking a horrific beating, and has been smiling less often, ensuring that no football fan is forced to look at his giant teeth.
The Saints, on the other hand, are just about as average as they were last season and still haven't managed to give Drew Brees a defense at any point in his tenure there. He has an excellent corps of receivers, but having to score 40 every week takes its toll. Brees should probably call it quits and retire to a quiet existence working for a pyramid scheme.
Tonight's game starts at 5:20 Pacific and can be STREAMED HERE BROUGHT TO YOU BY YOUR FRIENDS AT SBNATION
