Bye weeks are great for getting healthy. One Raiders player who has consistently had trouble with his health is former second round pick, Menelik Watson. The former starting right tackle, had seen a few snaps in the team's game against the Broncos in week 9. This week he saw his snaps go up as a tackle eligible in the jumbo package.
Watson played 14 snaps, which is just 26% of the offensive snaps, and Austin Howard didn't lose any snaps to him at right tackle, but Watson's addition in jumbo packages proved to work quite well, especially with the difficulties the Raiders were having with stopping Jadeveon Clowney.
Howard struggled at times stopping Clowney on the rush, suggesting why Watson had won the right tackle job over him the past two seasons, with Watson being lost to injury in both instances.
Another interesting observation was despite Stacy McGee getting the start, it was Denico Autry who led all Raiders interior defensive linemen in snaps.
