Greetings, Raider Nation! There's one more game this week and it's an NFC showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers. Prior to the season, most experts anticipated the Packers would be tops in their division while the Eagles would be in a full rebuild with a new coach and new quarterback. Instead, the Eagles started out on fire and the Packers have been awful, only in third place in the NFC North by virtue of the Bears being a special kind of awful.
Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was the longtime backup in Green Bay, sitting behind Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre. Since Favre never missed a snap, Pederson basically got paid several hundred thousand dollars a season to do nothing. Now he coaches the Eagles, teaching them to do God knows what, since we never actually saw what he knew how to do. Pederson shares the Easiest Job on Earth Championship Belt with longtime Peyton Manning backup, Jim Sorgi.
Expect Carson Wentz and the Eagles to test the Green Bay secondary tonight, as all the Packers' cornerbacks have died of dysentery. The game is live on ESPN at 5:30 Pacific and can be streamed on WatchESPN.
