Broncos Aqib Talib reportedly will be ruled OUT Sunday vs Raiders

New, comments

The Broncos’ number one pass D will be without its best corner.

According to multiple reports from Broncos practice today, cornerback Aqib Talib was once again not practicing. The All Pro cornerback missed last week’s game against the Chargers and missed practice all week with a back injury.

The expectation is that he will be ruled OUT on the official injury report which comes out later today according to NFL Network's James Palmer.

This is a blow for the Broncos’ league leading pass defense. Last week without Talib, Philip Rivers threw for 267 yards, which was the most the unit had surrendered all season long.

On the other hand, Talib was replaced by Bradley Roby, who had a pick six against Rivers, earning him AFC Defensive Player of the Week. So, no doubt the Broncos probably feel pretty good about their depth, and rightfully so.

The unit will face the Raiders who boast the league’s fourth best passing offense. The only better passing offense the Broncos have faced were the Falcons’ top rated pass offense. It resulted in one of their two losses this season.
