Khalil Mack wins Clutch Player of the Week in win over Bills

New, comments

This is getting almost tiresome. Even though there won’t be anyone winning the award for the Raiders’ performance against the Chiefs, the Raiders once again have a player named the Castrol Edge Clutch Player of the Week for their week 13 win over the Bills.

Khalil Mack takes home the award for ending a second-straight game with a strip sack — his 10th sack of the season and his fourth forced fumble. He also had a hit on Bills Tyrod Taylor early in the game that resulted in an interception.

This is the third week in a row a Raiders’ player has been voted by the fans as the Castrol Edge Clutch Player of the Week during the team’s (previous) six-game win streak.

In total a Raiders player has won the award six times this season. Derek Carr has won it four times, Amari Cooper once, and now Khalil Mack.

Mack has also won AFC Defensive Player of the Week twice and was the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for November.
