Despite the doom and gloom of the loss last Thursday to the Chiefs, the Raiders are still in line for a playoff spot. They aren’t in control of their own destiny for a number one seed anymore, falling to the 5th seed, but one of those top seeds is still in reach should the Chiefs lose a game in their final three and the Raiders win out.
As of right now, however, this is what the playoff picture looks like
- New England Patriots 11-2 (AFC East)
- Kansas City Chiefs 10-3 (AFC West)
- Pittsburgh Steelers 8-5 (AFC North)
- Houston Texans 7-6 (AFC South)
- Oakland Raiders 10-3 (Wildcard)
- Denver Broncos 8-5 (Wildcard)
So, how can the Raiders clinch this weekend? Simple — win.
They win, they’re in.
If they don’t win, they can still clinch, but it gets a lot more complicated
If Raiders tie
plus Dolphins loss
plus Broncos loss
plus Dolphins tie plus Broncos tie
