This is getting really redundant. Stop me if you’ve heard this one: Raiders player nominated for Castrol Edge Clutch Player of the Week for performance in come-from-behind victory. You probably stopped me, but I kept going anyway.
Derek Carr has won the award four times this season, Amari Cooper has won it once, and Khalil Mack has won it once.
This time it’s Sebastian Janikowski who gets the nomination for his three second half field goals, two in the fourth quarter for a late tie and the final one for the win.
He had a total of four field goals in the game, making up 12 of the team’s 19 points. The final field goal was from 44 yards out. After which, the Raiders defense made the stop and that was the ball game.
Janikowski may be deserving, but another player Raiders fans should strongly consider is Titans kicker Ryan Succop.
Succop kicked a 53-yard field goal as time expired to give the Tennessee Titans a 19-17 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Raider fans might want to consider voting for Succop as a thank you because that 53-yarder he hit knocked the Chiefs from atop the AFC West.
Others nominated include Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, Texans RB Lamarr Miller, and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.
