Mock drafts can be all over the map, especially when we're still months away from the actual draft. The Raiders have a few positions of need, making who they select as much about what the 13 teams ahead of them do as what the Raiders need.
There have been some mock drafts that have the Raiders going with offensive tackles Ronny Stanley or Jack Conklin or a cornerback such as MacKensie Alexander. Well, NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has the Raiders passing on all three and instead going with Ohio State running back Ezekial Elliott in his mock draft v 2.0.
"Oakland has a solid young running back in Latavius Murray, but Elliot is an elite talent and too good to pass up," said Daniel Jeremiah.
Elliott is easily the top running back in this draft and Jeremiah is right about his immense potential. The question becomes if the Raiders would go with a player who is an upgrade as opposed to filling a position of great need.
