Greetings, Raider fans! The draft season for a football fan is a lot like Christmas. The Draft is when you open your boxes of shiny new players with all the promise in the world, but the Combine is like looking at Amazon or doing some catalog searching or window shopping to see what we can ask from Santa this year. There are lots of goodies to be had in what should be a deep draft full of quality players.
Today begins the first set of positional drills at three positions the Raiders should be very interested in- running backs, offensive linemen and special teamers. Remember kids, kickers are people too.
While it's very likely that Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil is going first overall to the Titans, there are plenty of other tackles who might fall to the Raiders such as Ronnie Stanley, Jack Conklin and Taylor Decker. They will have an opportunity to separate themselves from one another today.
We'll also get a good look at running back prospects including Ohio State's Ezekiel Elliott, Heisman Trophy Winner Derrick Henry of Alabama, and Utah's all-purpose workhorse Devontae Booker. Can Henry or Booker push themselves into first-round consideration? Would the Raiders look in that direction in either of the first two rounds? Will anyone beat Chris Johnson's record in the 40-yard dash?
Watch the drama unfold on the NFL Network all day today, Saturday and Sunday!
