Finally Cardale Jones no longer has to "play school". He is just one of the myriad Ohio State Buckeyes who will be participating in the school's Pro Day today, which is airing live right now on the NFL Network.
Ohio State has at least six players who could potentially go in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft, and several more who can be had in later rounds. Chief amongst these players is running back Ezekiel Elliott, widely regarded as the best running back prospect in years.
The Buckeyes also feature two quaterback prospects in Jones and the multi-talented Braxton Miller, who converted to wide receiver last season and put up big numbers while displaying dizzying athleticism. Miller is attempting to go the Hines Ward route and make his name as a receiver in the pros, but make no mistake that he was a capable QB in his time.
Other offensive stars will be on display such as WR Michael Thomas and OT Taylor Decker. The defensive unit features speedy linebacker Darron Lee, top DE Joey Bosa, athletic CB Eli Apple, hard-hitting safety Vonn Bell and hulking defensive tackle Adolphus Washington.
A series of stellar recruiting classes by Urban Meyer and a National Championship in 2014 led up to this moment for Meyer and company, but it's time for the NFL (and perhaps the Raiders) to reap the rewards.
