Now a week into free agency, Donald Penn is taking his first reported free agent visit. He's headed to the opposite coast to meet with the Giants, according to Ian Rapoport.
Source: #Raiders LT Donald Penn is slated to visit #Giants today, his 1st free agent visit. Penn & OAK are locked in a contract stalemate

The Giants had already met with Russell Okung, but didn't sign him, which raises the odds Penn could be signed. After all, most of the conversation can happen over the phone. They should know what they're getting in Penn -- a reliable, albeit aging left tackle.
Prior to this visit, Penn had also received interest from the Seahawks as they look to replace Okung, but no visit was ever reported.
While Penn has long said he would like to return to Oakland, he has a contract figure in mind and the Raiders had other ideas. Should he not sign with the Giants, perhaps there is a chance he would return to agree to the Raiders' terms. We'll see.
