Yesterday Donald Penn was scheduled to make a free agent trip across the country to the Giants. Today he is a Raider. He never got on that plane. Late last night, he was finalizing a deal to remain in Oakland on a 2-year deal. He made the deal official Wednesday morning.
"Guess who's back! Let's go so excited [to] finish my career with the team I grew up cheering [for]" Penn announced via his instagram page. "Just win baby we just getting started."
After having removed all sign of the Raiders from his social media accounts, his avatars are now once again with him in Raiders gear.
His contract is for a reported $14 million over two years, with $7 million guaranteed. The 33-year-old left tackle was coming off a 2-year deal he had signed after having been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following the 2013 season. This deal will most likely mean he finishes his career a Raider.
