Jaguars sign S Tashaun Gipson per report, may open door for Weddle

New, comments

The Jaguars have taken a major secondary option off the market in former Browns safety Tashaun Gipson. But help may still be on the way!

Scott R. Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Raiders have been looking for secondary players in free agency, but a major option is now off the board. The Jaguars and former Browns safety Tashaun Gipson is on his way to Jacksonville per a report from Adam Schefter.

However, all is not lost for the Raiders as 95.7 The Game's John Middlekauff reports this may open the door to former Chargers safety Eric Weddle to join the Raiders.

We will just have to wait for word on who the Raiders will sign, but we know that Weddle is open to joining Oakland and the Raiders will be very aggressive in the secondary this offseason, as they are continuing to pursue CB Sean Smith. Stay tuned to Silver and Black Pride as the dominoes continue to fall.
