NFL Draft 2016: Jared Goff goes number one overall to the Rams, Carson Wentz to Eagles at two

The Rams kicked off the 2016 draft by selecting Cal QB Jared Goff number one overall. Though this was the expected pick, the Rams were being tight lipped about which of the top quarterbacks they would be taking.

LA gave up a lot to get that first overall pick to jump up 15 overall to ensure they got the quarterback they needed. Here were the terms of the deal:

Rams got: Number one overall pick, 4th round pick (113), and 6th round pick (177)

Titans got:15th overall pick, Two second round picks (43 and 45), 3rd round pick (76), 2017 first and third round picks

After that it was the Eagles, who also gave up a ton to move up to the second overall pick and take whichever quarterback the Rams didn't get. That quarterback is North Dakota State's Carson Wentz.

Now the draft gets a lot more interesting. Starting with the Chargers at number  3.
