Houston CB William Jackson III visits Raiders per report

New, comments
Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The latest prospect visit for the Raiders is Houston cornerback William Jackson III according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post. Jackson is expected to be chosen in either the first or second round of the draft.

A former Juco Transfer, Jackson spent three seasons at Houston, compiling 8 interceptions and 40 passes defended. His senior season was his best, picking off five passes and breaking up an impressive 23 passes thrown his way which led the nation. He was named Second team all American Athletic Conference.

He raised his stock some at the combine with an impressive 4.37 40-yard-dash -- third among corners.

He has decent height at 6-0, but at 189 pounds is on the lean side. He has shown very good ball skills, but lacks in the physicality department.

Currently 4.3% of mock drafts in our database have Jackson headed to Oakland at pick 14 including CBS Sports' Dane Brugler and NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah.
