After tearing his MCL and PCL as a senior last season, Oklahoma State's Ryan Simmons is hoping to work his way back to health and earn a UDFA contract from the Raiders at this weekend's rookie minicamp.

After starting every game for the Cowboys in 2013 and 2014, Ryan Simmons' senior season was cut short after just four games when he tore both his MCL and PCL. The loss was a major blow for the Cowboy defense, as well as Simmons' draft stock.

Although never overly fast or athletic, Simmons was a productive college linebacker — primarily as an inside linebacker, something that could help his cause amongst a linebacking group that is full of question marks.

One interesting note about Simmons is that he is related to two former Oakland linebackers: Eric Barton and Aaron Curry, both of whom are cousins of his.
