The Raiders are in the home stretch now with regard to getting their rookies under contract. Today the team announced they have signed fifth round pick running back DeAndre Washington. He becomes the fourth drafted rookie to sign his contract along with Karl Joseph (1st round), Connor Cook (4th round), and Vadal Alexander (7th round).

Washington was selected 143rd overall out of Texas Tech. He played in 49 games over four seasons for the Red Raiders, totaling 3,411 rushing yards on 605 carries and 23 touchdowns, and posting 124 receptions for 1,091 yards and four touchdowns as a receiver.

The 5-foot-8, 200-pounder finished his career in fifth place on the school's all-time rushing list and became just the fifth player in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season twice over their career.

Washington will wear number 33 for the Raiders.

With this signing, the Raiders have just three drafted rookies yet to be announced as under contract -- DL Jihad Ward (2nd round), LB Shilique Calhoun (3rd round), and LB Cory James (6th round).

Tuesday the team also announced the signing of 13 Undrafted Free agents.
