Summary:
A tremendous athlete, Iddings stayed at home in South Dakota where he was twice a high school state champion in the long jump. He used that leaping ability in college to block five kicks in the past three seasons.
At 290 pounds, he has the physical traits of a 5-tech defensive end or possibly a 3-tech defensive tackle, which makes his 4.74 40 all the more impressive. The best 40 among DT's at the combine was 4.81 and his new teammate Shilique Calhoun who is 40 pounds lighter, ran a 4.82.
Though Iddings never put up great numbers in college and didn't win any conference awards, he was a consistent performer, putting up numbers at or near his average of 9.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks each of the past three seasons.
