Raiders Karl Joseph gets his Madden 16 rating, how it compares to fellow first round rookies

New, comments

With the 14th overall pick in last weekend's draft, the Raiders selected West Virginia safety Karl Joseph. We know he's the best safety in the draft, but how does Madden think he stacks up?

The Madden 16 player ratings are out for all the first round rookies. There were 7 defensive backs taken in the round and a total of 12 players who were neither a quarterback, lineman or linebacker. In those ranks, Madden didn't do Karl Joseph any favors with a speed rating of 92 and an agility rating of 90.

Those numbers put him near the bottom of the ranks. Here's how he stacks up with other first rounders:

All the first rounders are available for download to your Madden Ultimate Team roster. Of course, you'll need either some coins or real world currency if you want to get them--probably more of the latter if you want to be sure to add Joseph to your squad.

For the uninitiated, Madden 16's Ultimate Team mode is a nifty little mode revolving around card packs and putting together a ridiculously good team with players from past and present. You get your squads built using accumulated in-game coins, but if you really want to have a devastating team, you'll have to sink in quite a bit of your own money to get the players you want as relying on in-game currency can take many hours of playtime.
