While every undrafted free agent comes with a story, Alton "Pig" Howard's journey was probably more of a rollercoaster than most. Howard was kicked off of the Tennessee team this past season — his last year of eligibility — after making just one catch for eight yards in two appearances.

As a receiver coming out of high school, Howard was among ESPN's top 150 players in the country — a four-star receiver from Orlando who chose the Vols over offers from Florida, Miami, Notre Dame and Ohio State among others. While at Tennessee, he lived up to the hype his sophomore and junior seasons — leading the team in receptions and yards both years with 99 catches and just over 1,000 yards across the two seasons.

Aside from the off-the-field problems for Howard, his measurables are also concerning. At 5'7", you'd hope to see a better 40-yard dash time than 4.60, as well as quicker short-shuttle and 3-cone times. With four other receivers signed to contracts, Howard appears to be a long-shot to make the roster.
