On the same day when Von Miller got his huge deal from the Broncos, along with several other players who were set to play on the Franchise Tag this season, the Raiders also took care of some major business by reaching a 4-year extension with cornerback David Amerson. This according to Ian Rapoport.
#Raiders & CB David Amerson have reached an agreement on a 4-yr extension worth a max value of $38M, source said. Almost $18M in guarantees

The deal is said to be for worth $38 million over four years with $18 million guaranteed. You can bet most of that guaranteed money will be handed out in the first two years of the contract to avoid dead money after that.
Amerson was set to enter the final year of his rookie contract. After being claimed off waivers from Washington early last season, the former second round pick had a breakout season, finishing second in the league in passes defended.
He was considered the top priority among the list of Raiders players who are entering the final year of their current contract. And in Reggie McKenzie style — just as he did with Michael Crabtree during last season — he didn’t want to wait until his contract was up.
