Tuesday the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced all the presenters for the class of 2016. Taking the stage to present Raiders legendary quarterback, Ken Stabler, is his former head coach John Madden.
Stabler joined the Raiders in 1970 as a second round draft choice. Madden was the head coach at the time and the two had tremendous success together with the Raiders, including 6-straight trips to the playoffs from 1972-77 and a Super Bowl victory following the 1976 season.
During that time Stabler also was named to four Pro Bowl teams and was an All Pro in 1974.
Madden retired following the 1978 season. Stabler would spend one more season in Silver and Black. Together they had a career record of 91-31.
Stabler is finally getting into the Hall of Fame via the Senior Committee. Unfortunately the induction came too late for Stabler himself to bask in the honor. He passed away of colon cancer July 8 of last year.
