Raiders fans rejoice! In what is undoubtedly some of the best broadcasting news to reach Oakland in years, Tony Siragusa is officially out as an "on-field analyst" at Fox Sports. That's right folks, one of the most hated former opponents of the Raiders will no longer be forced upon us during NFL action!
For those of you too young to remember, Tony Siragusa is one of the most reviled former players to Raiders fans because of what he did as a member of the Baltimore Ravens to Oakland QB Rich Gannon in the '00-'01 playoffs. That was the year that the Ravens went on to win the super bowl, but it only happened because of a dirty ass hit by Siragusa that took Gannon out of the game.
For you gluttons for punishment, he is the video of the hit. It is one of the dirtiest plays I can remember.
Now, this is actually old news because it was reported back in March that Siragusa was out as a commentator. However, it is just so glorious that it deserves a second article to celebrate it. That, and it hit the media again because Fox released their commentary teams with Siragusa's name not on it.
