After just one preseason game, Raiders linebacker Neiron Ball is once again watching practice from the side according to media present at practice today. He had been a full participant in practice up until last week when he sat out a practice. The next day, he was eased back into things and appeared to be just fine.
This after missing the entire offseason while recovering from an injury he suffered after just three games as a starter last season as a rookie.
Also not practicing again was Jalen Richard who is said to have a sore knee. It had him out of the final practice last week and he didn't dress for the team's first preseason game last Friday.
Leaving that game with injuries were Mario Edwards Jr and Gabe Holmes. Neither of whom are at practice today, nor were they expected to be.
Edwards has been diagnosed with a hip strain which will have him out at least until the season opener, and perhaps missing the first couple weeks of the season. Both he and Holmes were carted off the field and Holmes' injury status and timetable is less certain at this time. Though there were some early rumblings it could be serious. We will hopefully know soon enough.
Also missing practice again was offensive lineman Torian White.
There is just one more camp practice left after today. Tuesday the Raiders will break camp, at which point they will make travel arrangements for their second preseason game in Green Bay and upon their return will be back at their Alameda facility.
