On the Raiders final day of training camp in Napa, the team announced they have signed undrafted free agent tight end Jake McGee. He will replace the void left with tight end Gabe Holmes who will be headed to injured reserve. The roster spot was open immediately after the team waived offensive tackle Torian White Monday.

McGee spent three seasons at Virginia before transferring to Florida where he played his final two seasons. He appeared in 50 games combined at Virginia and Florida totaling 112 receptions for 1,150 yards with 11 touchdowns. As a senior he was named to the AP All-SEC Second Team and was a John Mackey Award semifinalist.

The 6-6, 250-pounder originally signed with the Carolina Panthers following the draft but was waived later in the month.

The Raiders have three more preseason games remaining, and two before their first roster cutdown to 75 players. Other tight end on the roster include Clive Walford, Lee Smith, Mychal Rivera, Colton Underwood, and undrafted rookie Ryan O'Malley,
