Today the SNTIC is set to meet once again to discuss potential sites and funding for a proposed stadium they hope would be the new home to the Raiders. Most likely there will be nothing settled for certain today, but just in case, the Raiders have prepared for the possibility of a move by officially filing for the trademark of Las Vegas Raiders.
This would protect the Raiders from another entity trying to buy the trademark ahead of them and then either using it themselves or attempting to sell it to the Raiders.
There are still several stadium sites that are being considered, while the funding proposal still appears to be at $750 million from the public (hotel tax), $500 million from the Raiders/NFL, and the remaining $250 million plus overruns coming from Las Vegas Sands Co.
