Monday Night Football Game Time Open Thread: Eagles vs. Bears

New, comments

Come watch along with us as the Eagles travel to Soldier Field for Monday Night Football!

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Greetings, Raider fans! Tonight the surprisingly competent Philadelphia Eagles will visit the Chicago Bears, who are unsurprisingly incompetent, in what should be a good test for how well Bears fans can boo their own team in September.

Philadelphia's rookie quarterback, Carson Wentz, looked like Norm Van Brocklin against the Browns last week hurting Cleveland with his arm and his legs. It's a good thing he did, because Eagles fans are not known for their cordial attitude toward highly drafted players who disappoint. Tonight we'll see how well Wentz does against another awful team and we'll watch as the hype train reaches the next station.

As for Chicago, they continue to not have a defense and to employ the bloated, apathetic corpse of Jay Cutler, who has two wideouts he does not deserve in Kevin White and Alshon Jeffrey. The Bears let Matt Forte go to the Jets this offseason, and have replaced him with a running back by committee approach, which is French for "Duct tape and prayer".

So watch along with us and let's see how many Bill Swerski's Superfans jokes we can make! DAAAAAAAAAAA BEARS
