Divisional Playoff Open Thread: Cowboys vs. Packers

New, comments

Two of the most storied franchises in football meet again in the playoffs.

Greetings, Raider fans! Today marks the final day of the Divisional playoff round, and the first game up is between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. These two teams have gone toe to toe in the playoffs on many occasions dating back to the 1960s. Oftentimes those games would be played in the frigid temperatures of Lambeau Field. Today's game will be played in the relative warmth and comfort of AT&T Stadium in Texas.

The Packers have not lost a game since Aaron Rodgers said they weren't going to lose anymore, and one wonders when someone is going to make him a liar. Rodgers will be without his best weapon, WR Jordy Nelson, and will have to rely on Randall Cobb and Jeff Janis. This makes life much easier for the Dallas secondary.

Dallas' offensive trio of Dez Bryant, Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott will look to take advantage of a Green Bay defense that the Giants weren't able to exploit last week. The Cowboys are thanking Providence that they aren't playing New York instead, as the Giants seem to be the only team the Cowboys can't handle. They already beat the Packers earlier in the season.

The game will air on FOX at 1:40 PM Pacific and can be streamed on the Fox Sports Go app.
