Today the Pro Football Writers Association made their pick for MVP and Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year. Matt Ryan took home both the MVP and OPOY while it was Khalil Mack who takes home Defensive Player of the Year honors.
The PFWA noted Mack’s sack streak last season of 8-straight games. He finished with 11.0 sacks on the season along with an interception returned for a touchdown and five forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. He added 77 combined tackles (56 solo).
The third year pro was named the Defensive Player of the Month for November on to his second consecutive All Pro and Pro Bowl season.
