With the Pro Bowl behind us, all Raiders players are now officially in the offseason with no more games to play. The offseason still has a great many key dates and events happening, both to close out last season and to prepare for next season.
Here are a few dates and events you should know:
February 4 - 5:00 pm Pacific (8 pm ET). NFL Honors show announcing 2016 awards. Three hour TV delay for broadcast on West coast.
February 5 -- Super Bowl LI, NRG Stadium, Houston, TX.
February 6 -- Waiver system begins for 2017.
February 15 -- First day to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
February 28-March 6 -- Scouting Combine, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN.
March 1 - 1:00 pm Pacific (4 pm ET) deadline to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
March 7-9 - Free Agent negotiation window when clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with players set to become Unrestricted Free Agents.
March 9 - 1:00 pm Pacific (4 pm ET). Deadline for when all teams must have submitted intended qualifying offers to Restricted Free Agents as well as salary tenders to Exclusive Rights Free Agents. Teams must also be below the salary cap on their top 51 players at this time.
March9 - 1:00 pm Pacific (4pm ET). Start of 2017 league year, free agency, and trading period.
March 26-29 -- Annual League Meeting, Phoenix, AZ. The owners are expected to vote on whether to approve the Raiders Las Vegas relocation request at this meeting. At least 24 of 32 owners must vote yes to approve it.
April 17 -- Raiders begin offseason workout programs.
April 20 -- Las Vegas Stadium Authority Meeting.
April 21 -- Deadline for Restricted Free Agents to sign offer sheets.
April 27-29 -- 2017 NFL Draft, Philadelphia, PA.
May 5-8 or 12-15 -- Three-day rookie minicamp from Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday.
May 22-June 9 -- OTA offseason workouts (See exact practice dates here)
May 18-21 -- NFLPA Rookie Premiere, Los Angeles, CA
May 22-24 -- Spring League Meeting, Chicago, IL.
June 13-15 -- Mandatory Minicamp
Late June -- Rookie Transition Program to be held at the each team's facility and includes all rookies both drafted and undrafted.
July 15 - 1:00 pm Pacific (4 pm ET) deadline to sign designated Franchise Player to multiyear contract or extension.
July 29 - Training camp begins no more than 15 days prior to the team's first preseason game (see the preseason schedule as of now). Camp will be preceded by three-day pre-camp warm-up for rookies, first year players, and quarterbacks.
August 3 -- Hall of Fame Game, Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, Canton, OH.
August 5 -- Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony, Canton, OH.
August 12 -- Raiders open preseason in Arizona at 7pm.
